TOY FAIR SUNDAY

DSCF1565

I´m very proud that I got introduced to Mr. S. Tamiya today. He even sat in our Scorcher and signed the box of my RE-Release Modell.

WHen people realized who was standing next to the car, it seemed that everybody had a camera on hand!

Mr. Thomas Peter , CEO of Tamiya Germany was kindly hosting us today! :-)

There are plans of displaying the Scorcher worldwide ( at least Japan, Germany , the UK and the USA). Maybe you can check it out at an event near you very soon!

scorchers´s 1st trip

DSCF0667

We finished the Scorcher right in time for the Nürnberg Toy Fair!

DSCF0668

Before we put it on the trailer, we had 2 very nice gentlemen from England in our shop.

Car Pervert Jonny Smith ( www.carpervert.com) and photographer Stu Collins  (www.stuart-collins.com )used our internet cafe`between shootings well.

Was a great time we had with them!

DSCF0690

Franze´s new trailer made sure to get the Scorcher to Nürnberg dry and save!

A sneek peak!

DSCF0707

It was like : " the lost child they never had came finally home!"

Goose bump feeling!

DSCF0717

One of the first persons we met there was Fumito Taki. He designed the original Scorcher back in the day!

DSCF0722

I don´t know if he ever imagined to sit behind the wheel of the real car! He seemed quite happy!

DSCF0731

I was very pleased that he signed the glove box door for me! With date and time!

DSCF1546

Mr. Tamiya did the same a day later! I sadly missed it out!

MEDIENRUMMEL

MEDIA HYPE

There is no break since Thursday, January the 28th. While everything in the workshop takes its course with the staff welding and wrenching on customer cars, Walter tries to constantly answer every single question asked by the various media representatives. Meanwhile Daniel und Georg take care of the Sand Scorcher, keeping it clean and pushing it around for the photographers.

At first we hosted the Bildzeitung, the best selling popular paper in Germany. The article is online since the 3rd of February, the print version will follow soon. Friday, the 29th of January, brought the Janus TV Team to our premises, filming for the “Abenteuer Auto” show on Kabel 1.

Since Tuesday, February the 2nd , an English journalist and his photographer scurry around the already famous Beetle. Their story about our jewel will be published in the UK magazines “Evo” and “Auto Express”.

After the Toy Fair in Nürnberg, Germany, where the Sand Scorcher will be displayed at the Tamiya booth, we will have more appointments with the press. We will keep you up to date.
