Saturday was the start of our "Greenhearts Weeekend"!
First to show up was Alex Taylor. He and his friend Chris bought a nice N-model Notchback in Vienna and drove it back to the UK! Was nice to see you guys! Have a save trip back!
On sunday Gemma and James "Alfie" stopped by on their way back to the english Island! They got a free Bimmer from Ernst in Vienna for delivering a car to him!
...narrow the rear end....
...and to put a pair of new floorpan halfes in!
Besides these few little things we also managed to put in new tubes for gas and clutch cable and eliminated the choke and heater cable tubes! Jörg and me were working hand in hand to finish the completed mission within only 6 hours!
The tranny raise kit I ordered from Ron Lummus was completely useless as they also sent a scatter shield for the tranny with a stock height tranny mount! I could have saved a lot of money and anger if I would have done it myself from the beginning! There is another big story behind ordering at RLR! I will keep my patience this time....!
In the end the tranny found it´s way in the floorpan with a home made raise kit!
In the meantime I was busy reconditioning the spindles...
Nice oval bushes! I wonder if the have ever seen any grease runnin´thru the nipples!
Reamin´! Easy with the right tools on hand!
Before putting the spindles on I had to finish the narrowed beam! 10cm over all!
Now with the dropped spindles on!
Way to go!
I still can´t decide what rims to put on the rear!
BTR´s or Bogart`s?
