END "o" WEEK RESULTS
What have we done this week?

Prototype 915 gearbox front mount for type3 is coming along good!

Original style type 3 6-cylinder instrumentation is amazing to me!

23 window gets home made B-post and side posts!

As the Samba will be powered by a 2.4 litre type4 it also needs the right instrumentation !

These babies are for the 64 Westi subhatch project!

Another full set for a 69 Deluxe bay that is at the paintshop at the moment!

Every Split Bus should have IRS! We are busy getting them all handle well! Two more buckets of "handling" ready to go to the plating company!
ANY WISHES? YOU NEED GAUGES? KILOMETER OR MPH SPEEDOS? 12VOLT FUEL GAUGES?

OCC IN BAVARIA?
Today was a big day in the history of Bug Box!

The owner of OCC PAUL SR. stopped by to say hello!

Here you can see him yelling at employees ! That is exactely why I invited him over! Check him out performing his signature move complete with soda cup and big arm !

I seemed that he was pretty impressed by the bikes we built!
It was a loud afternoon and a big laugh!

GHIA LAND
Today we took delivery of 2 Ghia convertibles! They could have had any color as long as it is black! Stock 58 and slightly modified 62 make every garage look nice! I wish we lived in a less cold and wet part of the planet!

You have to pay extra to get them delivered in a closed truck! It´s worth every penny! Believe me!

Low Light slips out first!

62 comes next!

Lowered stance and skinnies in the front make a totally different apperance!

THE TOP CHOP IS COMING BACK HOME

Before you start yelling: This car was the 4th Top Chop beetle ever registered in Germany!
It was my friend Sam´s car (the guy who brought me to what I´m doing today) and we built it in 1988 in our first garage!
The Graphics , yellow fender wells and a couple other "accessories" where added by 2 owners since Sam sold it about 15 years ago!
The car started out as a rustfree 1959 ragtop beetle that an american soldier left in Germany when he had to go back to the US! A friend of ours traded it in for a roof job (we had to craft a rag top section in his mexican beetle)!
The beetle was put on a 1970 IRS floor pan, slant chopped by 2" and painted "Metalflake" pink!
We fabricated the wide fenders and engine lid from fiberglass!
Interior is true 80´s with Honda Prelude seats and cleaned dash!
Besides the ugly graphics and a few details the car still remains what it was 20 years ago!
Engine is a 2.4litre type 4 that made a 13.2 second pass a couple years ago at the Nitro Olympics!
I bought it back today and will convert it to something nice! It really deserves it!
I think this really is a piece of german Volkswagen custom history and a very big piece in Bug Box history as this is one of the 2 first cars I ever layed my hands on!
