Cameras and light in place an we are ready to roll! Publicity whores!
My friend Blue knows it all! As he is producer, camera man, director and part time actor all in one BODY! He exactely strikes the poses loved by the audience!
When I was a kid we had an english TV show called Catweazle...! Remember?!
In the tiny hardware store in Wendover, where I bought water tubing we crossed the way of Donna & Kip. That was the biggest luck! They have a private Hot Rod shop/garage and invited us over to check it out! Boy, this place is insane and exactely what you could have dreamt of in our situation. Not only Kip let us use it, the whole family steamed in to make Thommy´s dream come true! The would have been A ZERO CHANCE to run the belly tank without them! How do you thank people like them? I have no idea!
At least I invited them over to Germany for a free vacation in Bavaria! I hope you make it one day!
A camera team from german television was taking footage for GRIP magazine! Sadly they never saw us running as the had to go back one day early!

After a little more tweaking Lee signed and we were finally ready to go!
After a little tweaking it started up and we were ready to roll. The goal this time was to show the inspectors that the car runs stable and that the driver can control it! Thommy had to make the first license between 125 and 150mph.
Seconds before the first run ever! Can you see the fear?
The last person you see before your run!
Because of it´s tall gears we had to push it to 45mph. From there it took off...
...and got smaller very, very quick!
After doing 139mph (right in the middle of were he was supposed to be) he was ready for more!
There are so many people we have to thank for help and support or just for being friendly! One of the most supportive was our friend Mike "the inspector"! He was born and raised in Vienna Austria and now lives in SoCal! Thanks a lot Mike! You were a really big help! Hope to see you soon!
Another belly in the pits! Aggressiv looks but not very fast!
