VINTAGE CAR MEETING

DSCF9765

Last sunday there was a cool little meeting at a car dealership only 5minutes away! Besides the touchie people that need to touch and knock on every car it was quite cool!

DSCF9748

The owners of these cars we call "people from always yesterday" ! The come in uniforms with nailed boots and think that Germany would have won the 2nd world war if they would have had the chance to help out back in the day!

DSCF9751

Check out the lug pattern on this OPEL!

DSCF9758

KISKA designed KTM! Our customer works there in Salzburg!

That is the cool Kombi we did for him a few years ago!

DSCF9621

DSCF9634

67 Westi back from the painters! It´s got some small parts blended in! Will be roaring again in a few days!

Oh, it´s been built by KCW! If you want to see how " not to do it" come by and check it out! That is the third car that is running through our hands that is coming from Grand Junction / Colorado! None of them was close to any standard!

DSCF9630

69 sunroof notch found a new home in Austria! Bye, bye!

DSCF9612

The "when it´s lowered it looks good" single cab is back with it´s owner! Still alot of work in the mechanical departement for him to do!

DSCF9635

I hate to restore our 67 vert as it is so cool as it is but it needs to be done soon! Also check out the VEEP on the lift!

Back in the days when trikes weren´t invented they had 4-wheel trikes! As I said: Not everything that is rare is also cool or nice! Daniels father saved this Albar Buggy from being butchered! I want those tires!

NO SLEEP ´TIL BONNEVILLE

tom[1]

This guy is one of my best friends and known to fullfill his dreams! As a hard core hot rodder from the tender age of 15 he has built a long list of very cool and fast cars in his career! From traditional 20´s and 30´s flathead powered Ford to 50´s Chevys he got to a 50´s Chrysler New Yorker that he restored and converted into a race car to race and finish the Carrera Panamericana a few years back - without sponsors!

Dream one! Done!

Dream 2! Bonneville!

roof

Starting with a P-38 belly tank he found in the middle of the USA he built a lakester at his home in Bavaria.

vonoben[1]

There were quite a few people trying to hop on the publicity train and so called organizers, friends and sponsors that promised big things! In the end it was just him and no sponsors to finish the project!

After a call from him 3weeks ago I was on it, booked a flight and will be "CREW CHIEF" for our 2-3 people crew! Bonneville  is only 4weeks away! What a cool opportunity!

Check this for the info:

http://www.scta-bni.org/

sins[1]

There is what it looked just befor it went into the container to be shipped to the US!

CLICK ON THE PICTURE FOR SOME FOOTAGE SHOWN ON DMAX!

Let me tell you this, it is a bavarian tank not a german tank!

If you need US car parts or decoration check out Tommy´s shops!

He is the owner of both:

BARRETTA PARTS

and

KONFEDERATE KLASSIKS

If you feel the need to sponsor last minute feel free to e-mail me or him! We will mention you on the blog and put a sticker on!
